Up for sale is a killer 1983 Fender '57 American Vintage Reissue Fullerton Stratocaster in Fiesta Red. We love Fullerton era Fenders here at Thunder Road and have had tons of them in the shop over the years. This particular example has a 12-22-83 pencil neck date, 1378322 pot codes which date to the 22nd week of 1983 and the unmistakable Fullerton neck shape and body contour. Originality wise this one is largely stock with the exception of the 3 way switch being swapped out for a 5 way and the pickups. The guitar came to us with a set of Duncans installed and we opted to install and include a period correct setup of Fullerton red bobbin Strat pickups. Condition wise there is lots of finish wear, play wear, dings / dents and finish wear. Certainly not mint, but nicely broken in and feels like a real deal vintage guitar. Killer guitar!
Weight: 7lbs 7oz
Pro setup in house and comes complete with slightly later Fender tweeed case
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
